About American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers
The CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course is designed to prepare professional-level responders to provide immediate care during breathing and cardiac emergencies for adults, children, and infants. Whether you’re a lifeguard, firefighter, law enforcement officer, EMT, or healthcare provider, this course ensures you are ready to act quickly and effectively until advanced medical personnel arrive.
This program meets the 2015 ECC guidelines and satisfies CPR certification requirements for lifeguards and other professional rescuers. Through hands-on training and scenario-based practice, participants will learn how to recognize life-threatening situations, deliver high-quality CPR, and properly use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) across all age groups.
This is a Blended Learning course, combining online coursework with in-person skills practice and evaluation. The online component must be completed prior to the classroom session. After registration, you will receive access to the online module, which is self-paced and essential for completing the course.
