Blended Learning Troubleshooting

In order to ensure that you have the best experience when taking the Online Portion of the course,
please see the recommended specs, as outlined by the American Red Cross:

Q1. What do I do if my content is not loading?

  • If you are having trouble loading content, it is usually because pop-up blockers are enabled and are not permitting the American Red Cross to launch the e-learning page. Disable the pop-up blocker and the page should load fine.
  • For more information on disabling pop-up blockers, please see the link to Geek Squad:

Q2. What do I do if the new page is appearing after Pop-Up Blocker is disabled, but the
content is blank?

  • The e-learning requires Flash Player in order to load. If Flash Player is not installed onto your computer, please use the link below to install Flash Player. Once it has been installed, make sure to re-start your browser so that Flash Player can install properly.

Q3. I am trying to launch the content from my phone and it’s not working. What can I do?

  • Smartphone compatibility is not enabled. Please make sure you are launching the content from either a desktop, laptop, or tablet device.

Q4. My browser is not working. I can’t launch the content. How can I do my e-learning
component?

  • If you have already tried the troubleshoot options for Q1 and Q2, we strongly recommend that you change browsers, or do a fresh install on the current one you are working with. We recommend launching from Chrome since you are able to disable popups rather easy on the navigation bar.

Q5. I have finished most of the e-learning, but I am not finishing the final assessment. It keeps
failing me. What can I do?

  • The e-learning is incredibly meticulous, so ensure that your answers are very meticulous and correct. Example: When sizing-up the scene and forming an initial impression, ensure that the proper steps are taken to clear the scene of any hazards before entering. The e-learning will not pass you if you are not aware of these small things.

Q6. I am trying to complete the e-learning, but I ran out of time. Can I do the in-person skill
session and finish the e-learning later?

  • No, the e-learning needs to be completed before you proceed to the in-person skill session. The in-person skill session is designed to build on the missions completed on the e-learning.

Q7. I finished my e-learning two months ago. Can I still take the in-person skills session?

  • Yes, just make sure to provide your instructor with the e-learning completion certificate prior to the in-person skills session.

Q8. I called the American Red Cross to troubleshoot the e-learning. They asked me to contact
Aquatic Solutions for help. What should I do?

  • While Aquatic Solutions has a limited ability to troubleshoot the e-learning software, we do not build or maintain the system. As such, we unfortunately are not able to fix any problems with their software if it fails to perform as intended but we will do all our best to help with the particular issue you are having. We highly advise you to always contact the Training Support Center via the Live Chat link below, and save your transcripts of the conversation for future reference and assistance.

Q9. I finished the e-learning. Can I start working and do the in-person skills session later?

  • The e-learning completion on its own is not considered a certification. The e-learning is only proof that you have completed the e-learning and is not a certification for any Blended Learning course offered by American Red Cross.

Q10. I finished my e-learning. What should I do?

  • Make sure that your save your completion certificate. As a backup, always screenshot your completion. A lot of times, the system might lose save information, so the screenshot will be sufficient for you to participate in the in-person skills session. Once you have proof of completion, you can take the in-person skills session.
