Absolutely. We authorize the American Red Cross to release the certifications upon successful completion of the course you take with us. As a top American Red Cross Authorized Provider we only administer American Red Cross program materials and the certifications say American Red Cross and not Aquatic Solutions. Aquatic Solutions simply administers the program materials in its entirety and the certification is 100% authentic American Red Cross which has a QR Barcode that can be scanned by your smartphone or portable device to verify its legitimacy and that it is in the American Red Cross database.

We use a secured payment processor that has a heightened level of criteria when processing each order to avoid any issues of fraud or use of stolen Credit or Debit cards. Often times the incorrect billing Zip code is entered or other important information that the card owner/holder has for authentication purposes which triggers a denial of the registration. It is not overly sensitive but a very good balance of needed criteria that is essential to have in place to protect our customer’s financial security. Our registration and Live Chat department is happy to assist you with registering with alternative options and troubleshooting to help everyone enroll safely.

Blended learning (if coming from Redcross.org Online+Classroom) is where the participant does some of the training that normally would be conducted in the Instructor led class on their computer and on their own time before the in-person skills session with the Manikins, AED’s, and other applicable equipment. This is not our rule but as per the American Red Cross policies. Blended Learning essentially is where the same course content normally conducted in a full in-person Instructor-led class is administered via a simulated interactive online environment on the American Red Cross system that is both educational and enjoyable. Blended learning classes have a required in-person skills session which is the reduced in-class times we have listed on our website as compared to the Traditional fully in-class format. All our classes comply with the required American Red Cross time guidelines for classes and are 100% compliant. For the Blended learning format, as per the American Red Cross, participants must complete the online session before the skills sessions. Students who do not have the online session completed (the completion certificate can be printed or shown digitally to the instructor at the start of the in-person skill session) can opt to reschedule their course to another day by submitting a reschedule form found on their registration receipt the purchaser received immediately after registration or by emailing help@aquaticsolutions-cpr.com.  Rescheduling fees for a seat reserved may apply. There is also the possible option for some base level CPR/AED/First Aid courses (not Aquatics or Instructor level courses) of an in-person written exam instead of the online session for Blended Learning that you can discuss with the instructor or email for additional information to help@aquaticsolutions-cpr.com ideally before the in-person skills session.

Students who do not wish to do the Blended Learning format may opt for an available traditional fully in-class where no prior online work is needed to be done and all course work, from start to finish, is conducted in the classroom session. Many people like the available full Instructor-led course as it does not require any online work prior (except Instructor-level courses).

Full instructor-led classes also eliminate the need to allocate time to complete the online session before the in-person skills session as many prefer the all-inclusive aspect of the fully in-person skills session as everything needed is provided onsite during the advertised hours and often people find it more efficient than doing work online because of perhaps their internet connection, availability of time prior or just general learning preferences.

Our main goal is to process certifications as quickly as possible without any additional charge to our participants for expedited Certification processing. Our target goal is within 24 hours of the completed class or sooner. We always include priority Certification processing at no additional charge and to that end we have a separate certification processing division that specifically focuses on Certification processing and ensuring the course records sent to us by our instructors are accurate as per their registered class.  Sometimes the records are slightly delayed due to technical issues or we are backed up by the volume of certifications we process. In rare instances, the Red Cross system has scheduled maintenance that may require some downtime but our priority is to process certifications as quickly as possible because we know the vast majority need it for thier jobs, school or any variety of reasons specific to the individual. We understand this and put 100% effort into timely processing. In the event that a certification for a successfully completed class is delayed more than 48 hours and it is needed please email help@aquaticsolutions-cpr.com as it could have a) Been processed and there could have been an error in the email given to us B) We are human beings so maybe it is an error in our processing but we do double/triple check these things to minimize this possibility C) It could have gone into Spam or Junk folders as the email does come directly from the Red Cross do we encourage everyone to check Spam or Junk folders for the email address provided at the time the course completed.

Great Question. So, the main 2 reasons that logistics are not received it is generally due to one of these reasons

  1. The email entered at the time of registration has an error, typo, or is to another email account the registrant did not realize they put in.
  2. The registration email went to spam or junk due to the participant’s email settings. For instance in a Government Agency or educational organization, if using such an address the internet restrictions could cause these emails to go to Spam or Junk.

In either of these situations rest assured we can always resend logistics. You can go to our Live Chat or email us at Help@aquaticsolutions-cpr.com for any logistics that cannot be found.

Unfortunately, we do not have a DeLorean time machine that can go back in time and correct this. We wish we did but the training that was used by the participant and certification fees to the American Red Cross are unfortunately not able to be pulled back. With that said we encourage everyone to make sure that the class they register for is sufficient for whatever job, educational program or other need is correct. Our registration department is happy to troubleshoot with you ahead of time as well as our very knowledgeable Chat Agents on our website however for best accuracy it is best to check with the organization you need this for.

Rest assured if an incorrect class is taken we understand that errors are made so we are committed to providing an affordable solution to help correct this with the correct class needed so reach out to us at Help@aquaticsolutions-cpr.com and we will do all we can to not add to the frustration likely already accumulated from registering for an incorrect class and working with you. There are instances where there is a price difference in the class you need but again, we will do our best to mitigate these costs to the best of our ability.

Sometimes a class taken percievably in error can be used after all as many of the classes we offer have a variety of utilizations already built into the certification where many organizations may accept it once the equivalency is determined. We are happy to ferret this out with you to the best of our ability because we do not want people to have to reenroll and spend money and time if not needed.

No – The American Red Cross has specific guidelines and regulations for Lifeguarding courses. Written exams and assessments, especially the final scenarios, are required. Any Lifeguarding Instructor who omits these parts is not teaching to the American Red Cross standards and is not only doing a disservice to the student but to the people this person would be lifeguarding for if on the job. It would be an extremely dangerous situation to have someone not trained properly working in a situation that would require a rescue.

Yes – If you are working at a camp in New York State they generally require a certain proportion of their staff to be certified in Responding to Emergencies (RTE) or similar high-level First Aid. Often times Professional level CPR/AED is also required.

Yes – While the majority of the United States accepts American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification some municipalities in the country require more certifications or have different requirements for working as a Lifeguard in their area. Nassau County is one of them.

The current requirement for the Nassau County Lifeguarding certification is to have a current Lifeguarding Certification from the Nassau County Department of Health. For people looking to obtain Nassau County Lifeguarding Certification for the first time Nassau County requires a valid Lifeguarding certification (also being 16 years of age) to qualify to take their exam.

Once a person successfully obtains their Nassau County certification they can keep that certification current and just re-certify their Professional level CPR/AED via CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) or similar Professional level CPR/AED Certification.

The Nassau County Lifeguarding certification exam is separate from the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program but generally success with the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Program more than often is a great indicator that a person will do great in the Nassau County Lifeguarding certification exam.

If any student needs help to prepare for the Nassau County Lifeguarding certification exam Aquatic Solutions offers an add on prepatory program to help students get ready. Please click -here- to see this optional add-on option.

The deal is this. Aquatic Solutions is the largest provider of American Red Cross certification classes in the area and we produce the most amount of Instructors. Unfortunately, we have encountered situations where students come in and do not demonstrate a proficiency level in the skills that is sufficient enough to continue with the Lifeguarding Instructor course. We often get called “unfair”, “too Strict”, this is a “Scam”. It could not be more incorrect. We follow the American Red Cross Standards and uphold them as we are required to do so. We have the most Instructor Trainers trained in a variety of areas from Lifeguarding to Water Safety Instructor to First Aid/CPR/AED and to Basic Life Support (BLS).

Being an Instructor Trainer has a tremendous responsibility not only to the American Red Cross but to the organizations, schools, parks, pools, and a variety of other types of folks who need people to be certified and properly trained. An American Red Cross Instructor can essentially certify anywhere from a dozen to hundreds of people in their instructional career and we have the responsibility to make sure that candidates complete all parts of the course as outlined in the manuals. Proficiency in the base-level material is required. To teach the material a student must know the material. Taking a Lifeguarding Review with a provider in less than the course time required by the American Red Cross plays a significant and damaging role in skill proficiency for the participant.

Logistics are sent out to each registered student highlighting that proficiency in the base level material is required as well as noted on our website. Our logistics are comprehensive for a reason and we send it out to provide as much assistance to our students as possible.
We do not discriminate or pick on anyone and all our Instructor Trainers are tasked with following the guidelines for the Instructor level course as they would for base level course. Sometimes people are trained incorrectly and not given the proper course duration. That is wrong and a disservice to the student.

Unfortunately, we cannot control what other providers do and all of our Instructor candidates are trained the right way when they walk out of one of our Instructor classes they are taught everything they need to teach classes right and have covered the American Red Cross material in its entirety. We want everyone to do well and get out there and teach some great American Red Cross classes!! If someone comes into an Instructor class without the minimum required base level skills they have the option to reschedule to try again for a $90.00 transfer fee and that enables them as well to audit our Lifeguarding classes that run and to practice their skills for the next attempt.

When students actually practice their skills they often come back to the Instructor course and do very well because they know their skills. The Transfer fee is not a scam, money grab or ploy. We simply have administrative and facility costs for each student who needs to reschedule and we add in the practice time as part of the transfer process. In addition we allow for Lifeguarding Instructor candidates to come in BEFORE their Day 1 Instructor class at NO CHARGE to practice with a Lifeguarding class that is running and we have an optional “polish” session for a small fee that Lifeguarding Instructor Candidates can add to their order at a nominal additional fee which is a skills session conducted by a Lifeguarding Instructor Trainer that focuses on the core skills to know.

Many times for anyone who needed to come back to try thier Lifeguarding Instructor class again and then pass come to us acknowledging that they in fact needed some more practice and that they now feel great and accomplished. That really does mean the world to us at Aquatic Solutions and makes us feel accomplished as well.

We will send to you within 24 hours of registering or 10 days prior to day 1 of the Instructor class you are registering for.

No – It is not Legitimate. The Lifeguarding precourse assessment must be completed to be allowed to participate in the Lifeguarding course. Omitting this can put both the student and his/her other students in danger as the purpose of the precourse assessment is to determine if the participant has the stamina and required swimming skills to perform in the Lifeguarding class.

Fiction – The Lifeguarding Review course is approximately a 10-hour course designed to review topics in the full Lifeguarding course. Any less time almost is assured to be missing critical material and is a disservice to the student.

No – You need to take American Red Cross base-level Lifeguarding class and complete it to take the Waterfront module which is separate from the base-level Lifeguarding class.

No – Lifeguards are required to have Professional level CPR/AED. The available American Red Cross courses to satisfy this is CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS). A student can take a full course in the Blended Learning format, a Challenge (skills assessment only), or a full in-class format.

Yes – It is at the Professional Rescuer Level and typically required for medical personnel, Lifeguards, Emergency Response workers and Camps and for some coaching positions. We always suggest that prior to registering for any class where you are unsure of the requirements that you check with your employer or institution that you will be using this certification for.
