About American Red Cross: Lifeguard Management Exam
The American Red Cross Lifeguard Management Exam is a written, in-person supplement designed for individuals who have completed the r.2017 Lifeguard Management Online Course. This evaluation ensures participants demonstrate the knowledge and decision-making skills required to manage lifeguards and aquatic safety operations in a variety of facility types.
This course serves as continuing education for new and experienced lifeguard managers alike. Participants must complete the online portion before attending and are required to bring their Lifeguard Management Supplement (eBook), which is included in the online course. A laptop or internet-enabled device is recommended for participation in class activities.
This exam-only session does not include the online training. That portion must be purchased and completed separately prior to attendance. Participants will receive one of three final grades: Successful, Unsuccessful, or Not Evaluated, depending on their performance and course intent.
Upon successful completion, participants receive an official American Red Cross Lifeguard Management certification. This course is available at locations across New York, including New York City, Freeport, Dobbs Ferry, Lake Success, and Pomona.
